Cheers! To hiding from the security guards, undercover photo operations at sur la talbe, getting soaking wet, and becoming kids again. This was an awesome day! Thanks for your passion for food, fun, and each other! xo, hollye and eric

R&J, Thank you for your incredible energy and enthusiasm during the shoot. The whole session I felt like I was becoming a kid again. From the colorful walls, to the playground, then the swinging chairs, and finally In-N-Out Burger with the little kid who had a crush on you, Renee. You guys were so great to work with and I’m looking forward to the wedding coming up in only 2 more months!!
I hope you enjoy these teasers as much as I enjoyed editing them….laughing the whole way through.

Eric, managed to get this great series. I love the last shot.

Check it out! We got our plane shot!! I have to give credit to my good friends at DQ Studios for their low-angle plane shot which greatly inspired me

This is a shot of me getting the shot below, courtesy of Patrick Madigan.

And then of course, ending it all at the favorite joint, In-N-Out Burger. How romantic!

This was a “hot” shoot on a few different levels. Tarin and John are not only a super hot couple but it was a record breaking 110 degrees this day in the middle of May. Needless to say we were melting by the end of it all. I give so much respect to T&J for pushing through the session and going along with my crazy ideas that started out as jokes and ended in really cool images (ie. the shot of them in the bushes). There is a lot to be said about the love these guys have for each other.
I tried to push the envelope with a few different toning techniques throughout the slideshow to compliment the scenery. I especially loved the great shapes and textures we were able to find in the city. As well as the ruggedness of the powerlines in the images at the end of the day which added an interesting framing and visual element. I hope you enjoy their slideshow as much as I enjoyed making it!!! And as always, feel free to leave feedback in the comment section below.

Here are some of my faves from the session:

I loved the images from this engagement session. It’s the result of a great location and an awesome, totally in-love couple, and great weather. Matt was kind enough to fly us down to Rocky Point for the weekend, allowing us to make images of the place where they first met and fell in love. We’ll be photographing Summer and Matt’s wedding in March at The Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale. We can’t wait!!

Sooooooo, it’s been a while since my last post and I’m feeling a bit guilty. I’d like to say that it’s because I’m planning a long-distance wedding, moving to a new home, expanding my studio, tediously building an entire room of IKEA furniture, along with taking care of the day-to-day activities of running a business, AND trying to sneak in a few episodes of my two favorite shows (I’m not ashamed to admit…America’s Next Top Model and The Office). But, at the end of the day, there really is no excuse for my blog neglect. So to make up for it, I’m posting a ton of new shots from my latest engagement session from one of my favorite couples (I know I say that every time but it’s true, every time). Matt and Christi are a testament to true love and best friends. A great model for us all ;-)
