On Tuesday night we celebrated the opening of Phyllis Lane’s new documentary movie on Passion.
She was kind enough to interview me for the film.
Phyllis, Rodrigo, and I….
It’s a long story, but Phyllis and I met when I was 16. I interviewed her for a project in high school, called the “I” search paper. It was about discovering your professional path and more importantly, it gave us an excuse to interview local professionals and shadow them for a day in the field. Phyllis was one of my interviewees who was the up-and-coming young fashion photographer at the time. I remember being so incredibly inspired by her passion, giving spirit, and motivation.
Here we are, 12 years later and she is interviewing me about passion for her film. It’s strange how things come back around.
Phyllis has always been a wonderful mentor and friend and I credit her with getting me into the wedding photography business.

Like the old saying goes: “the cobbler’s children wear no shoes”….
my personal images go unedited and ignored. Until now.
I finally took a few moments out of my day to put something together for myself.
Here are a few images from my Norway trip from summer ’04.
let me know your thoughts…

Also,
I’ve put together some of my personal travel images from summer ’05. It’s taken 4 months of on and off again work and a couple nights of editing till 3am…but finally, I finished!
To explain, the first few images were from a wedding I attended in the Hamptons, then a few from NY city. The rest are of my travels through Minneapolis and D.C.

Hope you enjoy!!
Hollye.
A self portrait with me and my dog.
The light was setting and I loved the pattern the shadows were making on the wall in my backyard. The camera is the central focus since it’s essentially the center of my life these days. Booda is sneeking in at the bottom of the shot. He has been feeling a bit neglected since there is a foster dog in the house who has been taking up most of my attention. This was a rare moment we got to spend together today.
We are hosting an upcoming workshop for future brides.
It should be a great time.
Call if you are interested as space is extremely limited.
A big thanks to you guys for an awesome day!!
I was honored to be a part of your union.
Enjoy the show :-))
